Dr. Stephen Longobardi is a Board Certified foot and ankle surgeon. He is a member of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons, New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society, and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Longobardi is on staff at St. Barnabas Hospital, Hoboken University Hospital, Overlook Hospital, and the Center for Ambulatory Surgery in Mountainside, New Jersey. Dr. Longobardi serves on the Credentialing Board and is on the Board of Directors at the Center for Ambulatory Surgery in Mountainside. Dr. Longobardi is the former Podiatric Surgical Residency Director at Union Hospital and remains active in podiatric surgical/medical education.

Dr. Longobardi’s medical interests include elective and nonelective foot and ankle surgery, sports medicine, 

and wound care. Dr. Longobardi is also interested in research and clinical studies. Selected examples of 

Dr. Longobardi’s recent publications in peer reviewed academic medical journals include: Invasive Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma Presenting as a Nonhealing Radiation Wound; a Case Report, Healing Diabetic Foot Ulcers Using Cortical Bone Fenestration and Cell Therapy, and Considerations in Local Care of Diabetic Lower Extremity Ulcers.

Dr. Longobardi graduated from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. He subsequently pursued postgraduate 

studies at Rutgers University before attending the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Longobardi performed a one year orthopedic residency at the East Orange Veterans Administration Hospital. From there, he went on to complete a two year residency concentrating in foot and ankle surgery at Union Hospital/St.Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey. Dr. Longobardi also holds a Masters in Business Administration Degree.
